4-player_small4 Player is a new play by Victor Ayala.

The play explores the irony of being the most well-informed society in the history of mankind while also being the least interested. Is it information overload that compels us to plug in in order to tune out, or is there something deeper, more elusive going on?

In the story, four friends get together for an ordinary round of their favourite first-person shooter experience, using all the wonders of modern distraction to find that elusive "good time"-- Only this time, they each take their fantasies to the logical extreme and find the real meaning of their diversions on the other side.

"I've always felt that if this world ends, it won't be with an earth-shattering disaster, but with a collective shrug. . ."

Written and directed by Kate Twa and performed by Terri-lyn Storey, "Torched" was consistantly a Critic's Choice winner and Pick of the Fringe. Now, five years later, Kate Twa and Terri-lyn Storey are venturing back in to this searing dramatic comedy to re-work the play for publication and an International Tour.

" Art is never chaste. It ought to be forbidden to ignorant innocents, never allowed into contact with those not sufficiently prepared. Yes, art is dangerous. Where it is chaste, it is not art. "
