In December 2009 Cucumber Satellite joined with Mutant Films in a new luxurious 3500 sq. ft. studio in Railtown Vancouver (just east of Gastown). This exciting move marked a new beginning for the Society.
While it continues to be a formidable training centre for professional actors, writers and directors, Cucumber Satellite is extremely excited to have several new works in development and the addition of this “boutique” sound stage, green screen and theatre seemed an inevitable next step.
A melting pot of creative exploration, Cucumber Satellite maintains a reputation for excellence without losing its respect for risk. Always learning, growing and daring, members of this unique ensemble have tremendous respect for craft and each other.
What will the future hold?
The studio is a new resource provided to continue the outstanding quality of art that Cucumber Satellite has been contributing for 5 years.
We hope that you will stay posted and watch for presentations, events, readings, classes, workshops, functions and special guest speakers as Cucumber Satellite Theatre and Film Society opens a new chapter in a spectacular new home.
