In April 2006 Cucumber Satellite produced Tough! by Canadian playwright George F. Walker.

Tough! is about three teenagers who struggle to understand each other, themselves and the impossible circumstances surrounding them. They all come from the East End of an unnamed city and are desperate to comprehend (and withstand) the pressures of life.

Tina, Bobby and Jill are characters in a scary place, one that many young adults are faced with. Whether it is understanding your hormones, facing an addiction, dealing with dysfunctional families or even finding a park to sit in that doesn’t have needles in it, these kids are in the midst of trying to figure it all out. They are ruthless, caring, selfish, hilarious and refreshingly human.

Tough! is a play that invites audiences to feel loudly and the hundreds of people that saw Taylor Hill (Tina), Adrian Petriw (Bobby) and Teagan Vincze perform this play experienced just that.
